Default welding combustion chamber

i currently have a 00'si and i am looking to get some headwork done. i'm thinking of getting PnP, 3 angle valve job,and flat valves and a 1 layer head gasket for higher compression. i'm also trying to get the most power out of my engine w/o touching the block. and have heard little but good things about welding the combustions chamber. could someone tell me what this does and how it works...and worth the money that it's going to cost and how much it's going to cost. thank you.

I really wouldnt weld up the chambers on the head. Send your head to tom at portflow, or brad at rlz. They can both provide you with an excellent headpackage

It raises the compression by taking up space in the combustion chamber.
