hi,

i installed a b16 in my sol for quite a while and something is wrong, half the time,its not pullin!!! we finished the installation a month ago, and tought it was the summer heat that could cause this but we had a few cold nights and it doenst solve the problem. but sometime it pulls hard,like a normal b16 would......i really dont understand. oil is ok,water is ok,everything is ok...............
its like the motor has my ex g/f mind........lol j/k

anyway, does anyone had the same problem...could it be a vaccum? i know the obd2 gen b16 has more vaccs than obd1's...i guess.

Care to elaborate more... Is it throwing any CEL's, have you checked the compression, is the timing set, does it misfire, idle surge or anything like that? The more you explain the easier it is to help narrow down the problem and get to a solution.

 

the cel has always been there since the motor is installed. idle is unstable when motor is hot. needs a new clutch,but im not sure if thats why it does this....

i did some highway today and after a lil beatin" ,it felt aggressive again! thats weird.

timing might be off a few degrees...but can the timing advance itself like that for no reason?

 

I'd suggest checking what the cell is and then posting that up. Also check your timing.
