Default sidemarker wiring for dc5

Can any one who has sidemarkers wired up on their dc5 help me out? I want to wire the markers up so they turn on with the parking lights and also blink with the blinkers. I tried wiring up a power and ground to the parking lights and then spliced another power and ground into that from the turn signals. When I did that the entire car turned into a giant strobe light, every light in the car flashed with the blinker Can anyone help me wire these things correctly? Thanks

that is how you correctly wire them. when you turn then it blinks. they aren't suppose to stay on. That's how they are in japan.

I am aware of how they're wired in Japan. My Ek has sidemarkers and they're wired to soley blink, not stay on all the time. This isn't my car though, it's my friend's. He doesn't care if it's the "JDM way" or not. He wants them to stay on all the time as well as blink with the turn signals. Does anyone else out there know how to wire them up like this?

You need to put a diode in series with the wire coming from the power... about a
3 amp (or more) rectifier diode from Radio Shack should do it.
