Default skunk2 stage2 cams on itr valvesprings.... QUESTION

whats up all. i want to run skunk2 stage 2 cams on a set of ITR valvesprings. my question is... how safe or unsafe is it? am i risking valvefloat? also, whats the highest possible rpm can i take it? thanks

IMHO, One thing/part stock will limit everything to stock capabilities. But I could be wrong.

Why not just upgrade the whole valve train since you are going to be putting in cams anyway? You might as well upgrade the springs incase you run it into redline. The stiffer springs will reduce the chance of you hitting a valve.

You need to upgrade the valve springs at the same time as doing the cams. The lift on the S2 stg2's is to large for the stock itr valve train, there is a very good chance that the stock springs will bind causing you to drop valves very quickly.

iam running stage 2 on stock valvesprings, and have been for a while. nothing wrong yet. i think as long as you dont take it past your stock redline,i would say it would be ok.
