I've got an 87 Honda Accord and am having problems with it sputtering and no power and it idles low and then stalls. Also, I have to really give it gas to start it and it takes a few seconds of pumping the gas before it finally starts. I think I got a batch of "bad" gas a week ago, right before the symptoms started. It started first with just the startup and then finally today it started stalling and then almost like it was misfiring when I gave it gas. I had a look at the sparkplugs and all the plugs were fine and the cables were clean and connected.
What else can I try or what else could it be?

first thing i would look at would be your fuel filters.

is your car carbureted (LX, EX) or fuel injected (EXi)?

 

if you think you got bad gas,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,get one of these water bottle that you can flip upside down without leaking. fill it with gas, get a hose and hook to to carb inlet if carb or if injected where the inlet fuel tube is and just use the gas from the bottle ... make sure you remove the fuel pump fuse ....

if it is carb you could have a dirty carb ...........could have a plugged up fuel pump sock ....

 

check your cat. It might be plugged. that'll make u sputter when giving gas also
