Default New car, Bone Stock B16 time

I sold my old white hatch about a month ago so I decided to start a new project. Bought this car 2 weeks ago. Right away I called Steve at HMO and got a B16 swap coming for it. Swap arrived wed evening and car fired up thurs morning. Had to wait on a new axle till friday morning then drive the car 70 miles that night. Next morning drive 180 miles to St.Louis and made some runs.

Car is a 94 DX hatch
Full interior, no weight reduction at all
Stock B16 swap
Stock DX intake, exhaust, airbox and factory filter, stock dx cat, stock b16 manifold. No mods at all other than a action clutch.

Best time was a 14.6@92mph with a 2.1 60ft time

Qualified last in Comp4

Gonna stay stock for now but I may go back to the track on a day thats not 103 degrees and see if I can lower the times a little.

Sad to see the white hatch gone but, the new ride looks extra clean. Looks like you have another stong B16 on your hands as well. I'll be waiting on the boosted times

Lies! That car wasn't at Nopi/ St. Louis. It was another car with a 100 shot. That's how he ran 14s with a bone stock b16 j/k

Finally ran into him out there and the hatch is very clean. I wonder if this one didn't have AC either? Or if you took it out.

Anywho, find a tach for that beast of yours.

Lies! You post 1/8th mile times! You can't run 11's in a 4-door!!!

Mine didn't come with a/c, it didn't come that way from the factory.

Got a good offer on my other one so got rid of it. Just decided to have another one to drive since I had good luck with the other one.

Man, every hatch I've seen in KC has AC, but I'm such a pansy... I wouldn't pull it anyways.

my 1/8th mile times? The slips are still in the car (too lazy to go clean it out) but I think the last run was mid 7 something @ 92 mph in the 1/8th.

Oh well. I think there are some changes I need to go about doing. On 3rd round qualifying and the 1st round elimination. It'd POP/mis-fire in 4th gear and really stop pulling.

but my ooogly 4 door has pulled off faster times than your hatch. so

Is that on street tires or slicks?

It was on both slicks at 17psi and regular street tires. The street tires wheel hopped bad so I filled the slicks with lots of air and ran them to save the axles. Best 60ft was a 2.1 worst was a 2.4. Slicks were the same 22x8's I got 1.6 60ft's on with my turbo car. I didn't want to risk breaking something being that far away from home.

Curious to know how much you ended up selling your turbo car for? It was an impressive car.

's for that. Holy ****, you probably made back every cent and then some on that deal. I couldn't even get 8K out of mine and it's extra clean and trapped 121mph

i was gonna say, you must be the best damn driver in the world to run a 14.6 with a stock b16 with stock dx crap, but then i saw you were on slicks, so that makes more sense.

then again, its still a damn good time for that setup! congrats!

I ran 14's on both, with a 2.1 60ft the slicks didn't help much.
