Default I/E setup finished...for now

About a month or less ago, I managed to fit on a $50 CAI onto my Lude, and the difference was well worth the money. Well yesterday, my buddy and I jacked my car up in his garage and removed the stock muffler (cut-off after the cat and resonator) just to see how it would sound. I'd have to say for a free mod, it is really great sounding. I'll admit, having a muffler hangin out that back looks much better, but sound (and I'm pretty sure gain) wise, it's about as good as any $400 catback. The guy that helped me out has a 98 SH with a N1 catback, and thought mine sounded even more aggressive than his, and somewhat deeper. It's a little louder than most exhausts, but only when I really get on it--by then it's screaming like a bat outta hell

Oh I also meant to ask, does anyone know a good website to find a stock 99-01 Prelude header, or possibly a Type S header? Seeing that 99+ Prelude headers are just as good as most aftermarket headers, I'm looking to hopefully find a better deal with stock--I may be wrong because most stock parts are way over $$$$$!

A) I hope you are joking about driving around the street with no muffler...

B) The 99+ H22a header is, by all accounts, identical to the 97-98 header: http://www.preludeonline.com/showthr...threadid=47641
The Mugen header has been dyno proven to make the most gains of any current H22a header... Although SMSP is working on his own header design now that will most likely outdo even Mugen...

Thanks for clearing that up with Part B, because I never had a definite answer on that question. As for part A, ehh, I could care less what anybody thinks about that. As long as it sounds clean, and non-ricey, I don't care. I got better things to spend 400-600 bucks on anyways. I wouldn't have tried this had it not been for the resonator--it keeps it sounding great. Don't knock it till you try it. (BTW, my friend's SI is setup the same way and sounds better than most with catbacks, and my other friend's SH had no muffler before the N1, and sounded great...)

It won't be so much fun when the fuzz pulls you over for being waaaaay over the legal sound limit. Then what will you be spending your money on???

Cut OEM piping =

I just said it didn't sound bad. I said my setup was finished for now, meaning, I'm not leaving it like that. I'm buying the N1 from my buddy actually. This is just temporary and sounds a hell of a lot better than stock Besides, tracks are opening up beginning of March. I want to see what my car is running with what I got.
