Default CRX HF stock shift light

Anyone ever wire up the shift light in the HF cluster to something useful?

Which pins on the ECU or wires at the back of the cluster control this light?

you can wire in a rpm activated switch to light it up whenever you want, or you could have it tapped into vtec and pretend the arrow means you are going faster!

I had one on my VX...it's supposed to tell you when to shift to get the best mileage...not best performance. It often comes on around 3500 rpm.

Those economy lights are very common, at least in Europe and Japan. But i think the mileage isint so important at US.

For example the Toyotas green and brown light. Green for economy, and brown for... Non- economical

Mercedes has the meter, BMW has the meter as long as i can remember. Plus many other cars.

For the shift light in stock cluster that would be awesome.
