my lil bro got a 95 gsr swap last week. swapping it into and EG using the DX harness. went to try to plug in the alternator and it was the wrong plug on the alternator. the alternator has a brown plug on it, not the green plug. just wondering what alternator is this motor off of. the only thing I can think of is that it's off an obd2 b-series motor. does it matter if it's off obd2a or obd2b? same alternator? thanks.

 

well a 95 gsr is an obd1 engine... does the block and the head say they are stamped 95? look at the number on the alternator also...

 

the reason I'm guessing it's a obd2 alternator is cause the guy who owned the motor before swapped out for a type-r motor. I'm guessing he used his old obd1 alternator and put the obd2 in place of it. anybody have pics of their obd2 or anybody know what color is the connector?
