Anyone got bugs/dust in their eyes?
It happened to me twice already. The very first time i was on the freeway with my shield down. And for some reason, dust got into my left eye. It was pretty crazy because i was in the middle of merging in heavy traffic and my eye just started tearing like crazy. It's not like i can even rub my eyes with my gloves on let alone riding on a fast paced freeway while changing lanes. My natural reaction was to just shut my left eye real hard until my tears wash the dirt away. It just hurts so bad that i can't do anything about it. The other time my shield was up and a small bug/mosquito flew into my eye. My friend caught a wasp in his helmet. I'm surprised he didn't get stung, but he was scared as hell. Also, anyone sneezed/couhged with their helmet on and cover your mouth. haha, i caught myself doing that with my shield down, like that's gonna do anything. Lol!
what kind of helmet do you have? i have the same problem with the rx7 corsair. visor would be down but i still get stuff in my eyes sometimes.
That sucks. Hasn't happened to me yet. Does it come up through the chin part of the helmet? If so, there is that little plastic piece that'll cover it (at least in my RF1000, there was).
Yah that has happened to me a couple timees and I wear contacts so I'm always afraid some of the dirt/ little rocks are going to rip my contacts and then I really will be fucked cause I am near sited
Ive gotten dust in my eye before and it really sucks. Nothing you can really do except pull over if its really bad.
Ive discovered the secret to sneezing. Open up your visor and pull your helmet down a little with your left hand and turn your head. Much better than sneezing right into your helmet. You get used to it and its like a reaction like covering your mouth.

I know for the Shoeis they have an option for a "chin guard" or some such thing. Its just a little mesh screen that goes in the open area below your chin, is this something us Shoei owners could purchase seperately? Maybe its something that might help to alleviate **** flying up from the bottom.

It's actually for riding on colder days, to keep the heat in. When I bought my Rf1000, it came with it. I'm sure you can get a replacement, though.

Have you used it at all in the summertime? How does it affect the shield fogging, if at all? I noticed my TZ-R sheild, as I havent treated it with anything yet, only fogs after maybe 30 second to a minute at a stop, but the second I start moving the fog clears right off. That mesh would probably only make it worse during the summer.
