Default ITR repaint

I need to repaint my back bumper cover but not sure where to bring it. Do you guys bring ur car in to the dealership or other body shops for repaints? Thanks!

it would probably be cheaper to take it to a body shop. i'm sure most dealers would charge more cause they would probably just send it out

Very few dealers have body shops. They usually just send stuff out and add 50-100% to the price.

I've never had a dealer send it out. When I've asked at the service department, they will suggest a local body shop for me to go to.

Some dealers have body shops. Those that do, are usually pretty competitive in price and quality to the non-dealer body shop.

Wherever you take it, make sure that if they're going to replace any parts, they use genuine Honda parts, not cheap imitations.

Well, I work at a major toyota dealership, and the paintwork that gets done at our bodyshop is of f***ing horrible quality. Paint/bodywork is probably the best example of "you get what you pay for." The shop I go to does a lot of restorations, and fixes new ferraris and lamborghinis and such when they are damaged. Look at some of the cars at the prospective bodyman's shop. That will tell you something about the work he does.

Thanks for the info everyone! Seems like like i'll have to do some research on which body shop is good around my area. I doubt any new parts will be needed, the bumper is just scratched but my quarter panel has about a 6" long scratch/dent. I'll post a pix of the damage when i get home from work. Thanks again guys!

You might be able to ask you insurance company and see where the best work comes out of. My mom works at state farm and knows which local shops do the best work.
