01 civic - how the heck do you open the air filter box?
so those 3 screws on the right side actually let the top off? the friggin look like removing them would remove the entire box, ie for a short ram
When I put my K&N filter in (one of the first things I did when I bought the car), my screws were totally rusted and stripped (previous owner hadn't even checked the filter periodically). Luckily the dealer agreed to replace the entire cover under the Certified warranty.
And to get the thing open, there are actually 7 screws. Given that you need to check non-disposable filters only about every 50,000 miles or so it's not a big deal, but still somewhat annoying that Honda doesn't use clips.
