what is the best way to paint brake calipers?
Also, what is the best paint to stand up to the heat and brake dust. I've seen so many people paint them and in 1000 miles they look like crap. Some may say painting them is ricey but I just want to add alittle color behind the wheels. Nothing fancy. Thanks
Any of the High Temp Paints should work fine. They have most colors in them. Find them at most Auto Parts stores. Make sure the Calipers are really clean....no soap residue on them or anything. And mask off anything you dont wat painted.
I did this recently using a high temp enamel for calipers.
What worked best for me was very light coats, and waiting for it to fully dry. On my first caliper I got some glopping and collecting of paint because I sprayed on too much. The other caliper I did a light coat ever 30min until it sorta looked like it had a full coat of red plastic on it.
