cruise control button
i see a lot of people putting a gauge there. how do i do that? it just doesnt seem like a guage will fit. the hole looks too small to me. the reason i dont just up and try it is because i like my dash .... its not broke. so i wanna take extra care when i install something

I've never seen this done, but i can imagine how it is done. With lack of description (no flame intended) sounds like they put something the is the same size of the cruise control switch on the back of the guage, the outline, so it can fit in there.
Thats what it sounds like anyways....
I'f i'm wrong, please correct me.

I have heard something metioned about putting a **** light in the swith but not a full tach. I'm actually thinking of doing this but I like my cruise control so take out the dimmer switch instead.

how would you **** with your dash light then? i never use my CC so id get rid of that one first.
btw, what are the gauges people would be putting in? aside from boost if you have it.

i was thinking a gauge that is a good idea to have, but that you dont have to look at all the time. like volts or fuel pressure. something like that. im not trying to add rice to the car. i just took out my cruise control and the hole looks bad. so i figure spice it up a little bit and throw an inexpensive gauge in there, but at the same time . . . a useful one.
any ideas? (on which gauge)

Oil pressure. That's the only other gauge I need that I don't have.

anybody see those stewart warner mini gauges in the newest honda tuning mag? just wondering if thats a good brand of gauges. it says to be 1.5" apposed to traditional 2"+ from any other gauge. would this work better?
I am unsure of if I would put a guage there. Seems like an ackward place to have one... It is angled a little off, so you actually have to look at the guage (it seems) to view it, instead of just glance. Dunno though, I'd have to see it in person.
I have a hole there now cus i painted the ring around the switch and broke the retainer that holds the switch,so theres unwanted hole. I was thinking about puttin my shift light there. It will almost fit..but like dirtyrican987 said, a lil cutting and shaving...it should look good. And about looking at it from an angle,u can always tilt the gauge a little bit to fit ur settings, put it the way u want.
Just like my tach. I put my tach with my redline around the 2oclock position. With my periferal vision, if i see the needle at 2oclock, thas my red line and i set my light at little before redline,so by the time the needle hits the 12oclock position im ready to shift, and the
light wont surprize me.
I got used to it. thats just me.

I have my boost guage mounted where the dimmer swith used to be, u have to shave a little bit of the pastic around the hole but thats it, looks good imo, nice and clean
