im thinking of ditching my tank *** 4dr integra and putting the gsr in a eg coupe. i believe its a 93 dx. its completely gutted. i was reading on hondaswap about the chassis weights and i think it was somewhere like 2250 or so. since thats with ac and full interior id like to know roughly what the weight of one is gutted w/o ac and p/s and stuff. i searched but couldnt find enuf info to make me want to buy this shell or not.

 

first off eg dx doesnt come with ac and 2nd of all it weighs in about 2100. fully gutted ur looking around 1800-1900.

 

and i have seen a 93 4dr ls vtec non turbo teggy beat a supercharged nitrous b16 2nd gen crx. jus cause its a tank doesnt mean it cant have potential.

 

yes i know this but i dont wanna gut it since its a nice car and id rather start with a diffrent car. i just got hit tonite by a drunk driver and he fucked up my bumper pretty good so basically he just bought me the shell tonite

 

yah btw.... dx civics do have ac.. well mine did....so did my 92 cx hatch.. well its gone now but you get the point

I guess it's an option? I always believed that they didn't have ANYTHING extra on them.

You could get a weight of 1800-1900 pounds if everything was out of there.

i had an eg coupe stripped out and with me sitting in inside i weighed a little more than 2300 on the scales... i weigh about 130 so do that math

did you keep your a/c or p/s? i'd like to know this too since my EJ2 is gonna be gutted, with no ac or ps. i would like to see it at 2100 w/o the driver (me). where would i go to get it weighed after i'm done building it?

 

my 93 dx had ac too

A/C was a factory option on CXs and DX's. I have seen some with and some without.

 

my 94 dx coupe came with it, but i took it off!

 

mine is 1990 gutted with only dash,heat, all glass,power windows still in.

no a/c,p/s,sunroof plugged with lexan
