I just recently picked up a 90 si hatch for a killer deal, and my problem is where to begin.The car has a DOHC ZC and it runs great, but the problem is with the tranny. The tranny has really bad sinchros. I can still drive it but ocassionally I cant get it to grab 1st gear. So my problem is,should I replace the tranny and clutch kit or drive till it dies and put the money towards the Ls-V originally intended.
Any opinions are appreciated.

 

you could turbo the ZC, or if you really want LS/VTEC then save your money. You could also find a Si tranny and put it in there for the time being.

 

Pick up a dx tranny or something just to get you around if you plan on putting money towards another setup
