Car is struggles to accelerate...loss or power...
It just started happening a couple of weeks ago. I start driving and it feels like im driving with the e-brake halfway up. A few seconds later it jerks forward and drives somewhat normal. Ever since, the car has lost power, accelerates slower, and vtec sounds muffled.
Any idea what this could be? Possibly runing on 3 cylinders? timing issue?

No it doesnt. The jerking forward only happened a couple of times. Now it just rides somewhat normal but accerleration is worse and the car just sounds like its struggling, especially on the freeway its louder than normal.
I know i had oil in one of my cylinders a few weeks ago. Im gonna be changing the valve cover gasket and seals and also getting new plugs and wires. Hopefully that will help.

Woah it sounds worse today. When im driving on the freeway it sounds and feels like im in 3rd gear. The exhaust and cat are getting louder and louder too. I think im gonna take it to a shop tomorrow

hey what is this jerking like, does it happen always around the same rpm, because my civic hesitated and jerked around 3k when I needed a new o2 sensor(no jerking after 3k but not great accel either), also felt a power loss but im not sure how drastic ur prob is. just a thought.

both o2 sensors are disabled. Thats the way it was when i bought the car and ite been fine up until now. Ill be converting to obd1 soon tho.

Your car should be running super crappy if both O2 Sensors are disabled. Honda uses the first O2 sensor to be the feedback to adjust how to tweak the fuel map. This is how hondas are able to function without a mass airflow sensor or partially anyways. You have to have atleast 1 O2 sensor for the car not to run in limp mode since it would not know what adjustments it should make to the fuel map and timing.

i have an lsvtec turbo and i have a similar problem which developed while driving no power before positve pressure then im gone when i make pressure and am in vtec, i am going to check the timing belt today. something did happen while i was driving tho ....the charge pipe blew off the turbo and maybe somehow that contributed cause i was making positive pressure bult the maybe it jusr jumped a tooth i changed the plugs and nothing iim off to get the car tuned this week
