Default planning for the head

First of all I did search for this, and came up with a few answers but not neccisarily pertaining to what I'm asking.

I have an 88 crx si with a stock a6. I'm not wanting anything crazy just a little more umph, and no this is not my Daily driver. I have an 89 Lude for that. This is more of a project car.

Anyway, I have heard good things about the jg 301x and plan to use this cam. But what I'm wondering is what else should I do? I don't know what to do about the valvetrain, wether stock would be fine or upgraded would be neccisary for this cam. I would like to get it milled down for a bit more compression since I want it to be all motor. I will be gasket matching the porting since I think it could afford just a little touching up.

If there is any more details you need just let me know, and any suggestions are greatly appreciated. But please don't flame for no reason. Also, any helpful links would be good too

ive never heard of that cam but if its a real aggressive cam your most likely gonna need to do the springs and retainers. usually it will tell you on their website if there is one.

The cam is for the a6 from JG Engine Dynamics.

the 301x specs are:

lift is 410/402(in/ex)
duration at .15 degrees 274/260(in/ex)
valve lash at .007 / .009(in/ex)
at a price of $ 220.00
and core at $ 50.00

there web site doesn't say if you need an upgraded valvetrain for it. And i know gas mileage won't be that great, but that isn't the goal here. The goal is for a quick, reliable car that won't cost me out the ***. And by quick I don't mean 300whp, just a couple of notches above stock. I have a local machinist to do the work and he does have a flow bench.

Is there anmore suggestion that anyone can give me?

Does no one want to give me any advise?

Well, I have decided to go ahead and upgrade the valvetrain, but I don't know anyone who makes any for the D series. So anyone have any suggestion about who's valvetrain would be a good idea to go with. I have the head off and disassembled. The bottom end looks great to me, at 173,000 miles the cylinder walls show no signs of wear. So for the time being its going to remain stock. But I may go ahead and get a lighter flywheel and stronger clutch. Any suggestions on that?
