I went to change my oil the other day and when I pulled the hood latch there was a slight tug and then it pulled all the way up but no hood pop. I walk around and try to pull it up...see if its stuck but nothing. I got a pair of pliers and tried tugging on the wire to see if I could maybe loosen it or get it to pop...nothing. Anyone had this problem or have any ideas for me? I've tried everything I can think of short of taking off the front bumper and reaching up under there. Thanks in advance.

 

push the hood down and pull the latch and then pull up, just keep fiddling with it, this is a common problem on ef civic's
just takes a little messing with to get it to open...

 

have a friend tap the hood while you try opening it ..it might pop up
