Default Temp. Gauge Not Working?

I bought a crx that had a blown headgasket...reaplaced the radiator and headgasket and the temp gauge doesn't work, so I am not sure if the car is over heating or not and I don't want to push it...The sensor uner the dizzy is plugged in and looks fine..what else could be the problem....I also have a leak where the top radiator hose goes into the the head..I put some silicone on it but it seems to still be leaking through the bottom...Thanks in advance guys...and yes I already searched but nothing helped

could be the cluster is broken but i doubt it.

make sure the plug under the dizzy is ok, they do get soaked in oil. might looked plugged in but it might not be a good connection

Still nothing..I cleaned the connectoins and even made some new ones...guage still doesn't work..I took the cluster out and pulled the needle off and then put it back on..after I did that when I turn the key on it will move an inch or so but as the car should be getting warm it won't move??

Find the yel/grn wire on the temp gage sending unit. You'll need to access the plugs on the back of the cluster. Find the yel/grn wire on the back of the cluster. If you don't have continuity, repair the open circuit.
