Default HELP!!!!!!

OK i have a 89 civic hatchback wit a 93 ls motor in it,it is all obd0 and i am havin sum probs,ok it keeps throwin code 8 and 14 and i dont know what to do and it only red lines at like 4800,i know it is not the ecu cuz i just pulled it out of a runnin 91 da and he had no codes and it redlined fine,can sum one please help i really need it,i tryed everything i could think of

could be either tps or distributor, try swapping the 2 outer tps wires and check the distributor wires. if that does not help then try cross referencing pinouts if in fact you are using a different ecu than the stock on for a civic hatch.

ok so i tryed to do that i have a new dizzy on there and i swapped the 2 wire back and forth a few times and it is still has code 8,is there anything else,i need my car i miss it sooo bad

and would that have anything to do wit it redlining at 4800

Code 8 is the Top postion sensor, Code 14 is the idle air control(IAC) valve
