Default Broken wheel studs

My gf's hatch broke a wheel stud. I am trying to replace them. To replace them do you have to take the axel out also? I am a RWD guy and just not used to working on any FWD cars. I took the nut off and trying to get that hub to come off and cant get it. I am pretty much asking if I thats all I have to take off then beat the Shizit out of it. Thanks

Coker

Yeah they aren't as easy as RWD, where you can pull the axle out and pop the studs out. On the hatch you are going to have to get the hub pressed out in order to remove the broken wheel stud replace it.

you dont have to get it pressed out you can buy a 13 dollar tool i forget what its called but you bolt it to your hub wit the lugs and it has a handle on it that you just pull and the hub comes right out its easy if you take the rotors off just so you dont mess them up then once its out far enough its a piece of cake or if you still have a problem theres always that trusty angle grinder
