Default LSVTEC, ITR header, and oil pan problem

I've been having some problems with my oil pan ever since I put my ITR header on. I have the LS oil pan, and when I went to install my ITR header, the header tube was touching right on the oil pan, so I had to bang it in a little bit so it would fit. Now I'm starting to develop some nasty oil leaks, and I think the pan is warped or something, because I've already replaced 2 oil pan gaskets.

So my question is, is the LS oil pan any different than the B16 oil pan? Would I have clearance issues with the header if I used a B16 oil pan instead?

If I did use a B16 oil pan, will the LS pickup work with the oil pan?

Help!

I have heard of people just letting them touch and having no problems even in the summer.

So the Type R pan is different from the B16 and LS pan?

Well, now that explains why the ITR header rubs against the oil pan...

I'm running an LS/VTEC as well, and I'm using an OEM ITR header... not the nice JDM style one, but the USDM one. I'm also using an LS oil pan. I have no issues with rubbing at all. I can also verify that the B16/LS ones are exactly the same, as I;ve used an LS pan and a B16 pan on my old B16A with no issues.
