well i got a 4 dr integra. i raced last week at the track with 225.50R15 BFG DR's
car makes 300 WHP 250 torque in fstreet form
i lit em up and got a little smoke out of them. preload at 5K and dropped the clutch n smashed the throttle.
no matter what. with drag racing i just suck. road racing im coo i can take turns very well but when it comes to launchign with that much power its pretty difficult.
any of you first started drag racing and noticed you just suck really bad ? lol
im curious as to how you guys improved your times , what methods you tried and what not. tahnks

How many psi do you run on the radial? How many psi are you leaving the line at? Dont slam on the throttle once you take off, feather the peddle when you take off.

Sounds like you are doing everything right. I would try to play w/ the Tire pressure and tire temp (morre heat) to find the sweet spot. Also look into some limit straps, LSD and a traction bar. You have alot of torque there so, it may tricky but, <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 2000civicsi »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Pratice, Pratice, Pratice</TD></TR></TABLE> and things are sure to come around. Good luck.

14 psi tire pressure. small burn out. i have a difficult time getting them to smoke. i dip it in water and burn em. and it usually pulls me right out of my burn out. 5K RPM preload clutch and dump.
with that much torque and my ball bearing turbo it spools super fast so tis difficult to control.
im afraid of modulating the throttle cuz i dont want it to bog and axles to break.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

ay phil did u use e-brake when u preload? post ur time slips. i just want to compare it to my old setup. Before @ 285hp i did a 13.6 on some bald falken tires (not azenis), doing close to a 2.4 on the 60ft
Well first you have a street car on dot slicks! This is what i would do. But its going to be alot of load on your engine. Practice your burnout. Burnouts will need to be practiced for good times! Me personally I would pull the ebrake or ( Staging Break ) then put the car in first then put it right into second gear get some nice speed on those tires to heat them up. Rev the car up to about 9k ( a 2 step never hurts) and let it pull its self out of the box. Remeber your not a pro car so going past the tree is not in your picture! Also you have a good 10sec to burnout take your time and practice.
Now for your launch, no matter what you going to have to ride 1st gear. Depending what you rev limiter is. If its was mine 10.2k would be my rev limit your going to spin them mostly out of the hole so your going to have to get that rpm up so you dont have any second gear lag on slicks you would bog down so i would rev it up to 10 so second will catch around 7k still spining but youll see a improvement in your time. After that 3rd 4th etc you got it from thier. Remember your launch and controller of you car is the most important thing. It just takes alot of time and practice. Alot of times before i could even drive i would practice power shifting and pedal and clutch pivots so its not going to come to over night but practice makes perfert
I hope I helped you a little, I know its not the best discreption but its 4:30am right now maybe I right it again when I wake up!

actually maximun acceleration is obtained with a small % of wheel spin...cant remember the exact figure
just felt like being a smart *** in 10pm lol
But back on topic..as posted above just practice, practice, etc. Seat time does wonders

that's some nasty 60' foot timers, usually aim for 2.0 -
what is your rear spring rate? you said u road race? the springs in a
road race is way opposite than drag springs. you have traction bars? etc?
