I have it on my LS/VTEC and there are no leaks what so ever. As long as it's installed correctly there won't be any leaks.

I have used the kit from Golden Eagle. The only problem I encountered during the installation of the kit was an improperly machined dowel pin. When installed on block, the dowel pin dropped right in but on the head side it was a different story. One of the pins was too big to fit inside the machined hole on the head and no, I didn't installed them wrong. They can only go on one way.
The supplied instructions suck imo. I spent hours searching for pictures on the internet prior to performing the installation and I can say C-speedracing.com had the best pictures. Before you start any modifications to your head locate a clean area and neatly layout all the parts in the kit. Make sure you understand what you are doing and how it works before you start anything. The installation is not hard but it can easily turn ugl, specially when you are tapping out the threads for the supplied plug. Make sure the supplied tap has nice clean threads and no broken threads. When tapping the threads on the head, pay attention to how far you can go. Insert a pencil and mark how far it went inside the vtec oil hole and then use it to mark the same distance on the tap. This will prevent you from destroying the threads once it bottoms out. Also, when tapping, back out the tap all the way after a few turns. This will prevent any binding from loose debri. Keep the threads clean and straight. I used honda bond on the new plug supplied in the kit to prevent any leaks.
As far as the dowel pins go, you can either have golden eagle warranty the faulty dowel or you can file it down by hand. It doesn't take much to file the dowel pins. I don't know if you need to reduce the height of the dowel pins when you mill the head.???
So far, I haven't experienced any leaks on my ls/vtec conversion.

nope, no machining wat-so-ever. the only thing u have to do is plug the oil supply hole in the head. everything else is elementary.

I've seen the HG's leak on them, I don't know if they still do, but on the old ones, they'd give you a VTEC HG to use, some stuff didn't line up and you'd have the oil return hole in the HG still. I like their kit with the exception of the HG. I also prefered to have the dowel pins in my head enlarged to fit OEM dowel pins. If you choose to run the correct LS headgasket, you can't use the Golden Eagle piuns or you have to open up the holes in the HG. I like their sandwhich plate and fittings/oil line, but I'd do the other stuff myself. Don't get me wrong, Golden Eagle makes great stuff, but I'd rather see them include an LS HG with opened dowel holes for the kit.
im gonna do my LS/VTEC in about 2 weeks. i ordered the GE dowels and will be using a honda OEM Headgasket. Now will i need to modify the headgasket with these GE dowels as stated above?????

hhmm i already installed my kit together with the HG they provided we'll see how it gos...although i did run into the problem of the dowels not fitting properly....my head is milled so its like 1mm till its clamped....then i just bolted the head down with 2 studs just to see if the pressure would press the head down and it did so im just gonna go from there......
Did anyone have a problem screwing the steel braided oil line onto the sandwich plate with this kit? i was trying to do it the other day and noticed it got tight and it was only screwed halfway and I didn't want to force it. Is this normal?
you need to tighten it up with a tool. not to sound like a dick but, would you just hand tight a lug nut on your wheels and drive around town? again, not to offend you for any reason. just an example. thanx.
i installed the sandwhich plate on my ls/vtec today and i noticed the fitting got tight by hand but then i slowly turned the fitting in with a wrench dont worry just feel the thread to see if it strips ...oh and may i say that brass fittings arent the way to go if you go cheap you will lose out
i put mine in and vtec bangs like you wouldnt believe ......it;'s nice when a ws-6 asks you "what do you have in that thing" soon as i slow down to give em a chuckle

Ive got it on my b20 vtec....the only problem i had was the head gasket....they send you a vtec head gasket....So i had to go replace the head gasket....They send you a p30 head gasket and it just bored out to ur bore size....But i have never seen or heard of putting a vtec head gasket on a non vtec block
