Default ZC Trans Question

I bought a ZC trans with no intermediate shafts from civic_hatch for $120. Problem is the intermediate shafts is only avail at HMO or ebay. HMO has 1 and wants $75 for it but their in burbank.

^ Thats stated at one point people tried to use the AWD civic int. shaft, which fit, but was not the right length and the outter shaft was shorter. Thus, rendering it useless. Whereas here http://www.thezcresource.com/f...nt=28 it states that the <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 1PHAST1 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The 88 integra axle was a perfect fit in the zc transmission. The lenght and the shaft diameter are correct. The mount on the other hand is way off, but the mount from the 1.6 AWD shaft will mount correctly.</TD></TR></TABLE>

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 1PHAST1 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">the 1.6 AWD drive axles are the correct axles for this swap. These axles a avaliable at most good parts stores.</TD></TR></TABLE>

So I can use the 88 int. shaft + 1.6 AWD axles and it will fit my 1990 Civic DX. But rather than follow the advice of 1 person and spend upwards of $200, I want to hear ANY and ALL other information showing this to be correct. If you have any info I would be EXTREMELY greatful. I wanna put my new DD together and show the progess I've made on it in the last 4 days. Thanks Honda-Tech, I know you guys wont let me down!

No parts stores in the surrounding 100 miles have the Int shafts. They only sell the axel. Its looking more and more like I'm going to have to go to Burbank to pick up the ZC int shafts from HMO. They close at 7 and if traffics good I can probably make it, if anyone has info other info, plz plz plz reply ASAP. Hell, call my cell # 951 375 8238. I need to get this trans in tonight!

I would just get one from HMO because I heard that the AWD civic int. shaft are on national backorder and the few places that actually had them were all over $100.
