Hello, I am brand new to the site. I really, really, really, need to know what material stock spindles for a 93 prelude are made out of. Forged steel of cast iron.

Steel; cast iron is way too brittle.

So.....um, why do you "really, really, really" need to know?

 

So they are forged steel?

I need to shorten the spindle like this weekend. I needed to know what material I was working with. My fabricator said he wouldnt do it becasue he thinks they are forged steel, but will if they are cast. I'm gonna have to give him a whoopin.

sounds like alot of unnecessary fabing to drop a car....
