I am new and looking for some advice
I have a 98 gsr turbo and I keep having problems with my map sensor. I just rebuilt my engine b/c it had blowby. After that it ran great until I started having problems with my map sensor fouling out. I know oem map's only can read 11 psi and I did not have a missing link or anything to relase the pressure. I found out I blew out the diaphram in the map so I got a new one and bought a missing link valve for it. Problem is my map sensor has been relocated off the throttle body and over by the strut tower and connected by a vacuum line. I placed it back on the throttle body and put the missing link on but now it runs like **** and I cant get more than like 7 psi. So I put it back where it was and took off the missing link but still problems. Does it just need to be tuned with a new ecu and get a biogger map sensor or what? Someone let me know what the deal is? All I have for tuning right now is a AFC and those do not do that much
You really need to get some kind of engine management and a good tune..
edit: and its not necesarry to make two posts saying the same exact thing with differnet thread titles.. I know if some people see that, they wont answer you at all.

Check your vacums.. Possible around your TB.. Your throttle gasket might be on backwards giving you a leak?? Possible the wiring to the map sensor is bad.. you need to check the basics... First hoses.. then around the problem you think it is.. try to narrow it down more.. specially since your turboed..tuning would be a good idea.. speciallyif you have a vacum leak hondata or crome can pin point the place where you have a leak around... Best bet man is to get yourself a labtop and go at it or find a good tuner around your area..
