His conviently ended the auction for me.....said he was shipping the engine and it would be here today....

User name was Nemiproject1...did anyone see this engine on ebay??
Turns out this name and the auction are no longer even able to be found...

i thought somethin was really fishy about this...

 

thats why you make sure the transaction goes through ebay and not privately.

even though ebay would probably screw you too. bum deal.

 

Call his local cops and see what they do about it, propably nothing, hopefully you have a record of the money transfer and can cancell it somehow.

 

Also is it possibly shipping is just late on the item? Id give it a little time before going crazy about it. Shipping times arent allways accurate.

 

All I can say is wow.. You bought a 1600 dollar motor off someone from eBay with 0 feedback.. I'm not going to be an ******* but that was not very bright.

That sucks....yea hope you have a record of $ transfer, i'll look for his addy and pay him a visit myself if i would you (thats if you have the correct addy and personal Info on this him). GL with everything.

give it an extra couple of days, email the guy and ask when he sent it.
just because it's not there exactly on time doesn't mean you should start screaming foul play.

how did you send him the money? do you have his address and phone number?
first rule of ebay sales, much less out of ebay sales like this, CYA.

 

yeah it sounds alittle fishy and smeels like a scam but dont jump to conclusions just yet!

 

lol..i dont mean to be an *** too but NEVER buy anything over $100 if the seller has 99.1% or lower!! and if it is over $500 make sure you pay through pay pal, they will cover us butt, BUT always get buyer protection from paypal with anything that is over $500. Well anyway give it another week! How did you pay him????

Possibly give it a little time. For 1600 bucks, u could have possibly bought that motor off a website with prestige.

well...i didn't buy it through the computer like over emails......i talked to him on the phone 10 times...asking about the motor...getting questions answered...he told me where he lived...2 phone numbers..2 forms of I.D. He said shipping would be free since he works at Yellow Trucking company...We ship our items out at the same time..on the phone...he gave me a tracking number and all...I never thought of even second guessing the guy..but today 4 days later i checked the number...and its non-existent....his address..is non existent...and one form of I.D is his son's or fathers..I called him today...and asked for the right tracking order # before i actually did freak out like you guys said...he said "o...that should be it...maybe add a 1 or a 9 at the end.."...so i said okay?...called up yellow truck and they checked the whole system and said nothing at all is coming to your address...sorry...so i call him back up...and a lil kid answers....he says "O..he doesn't live here anymore"?? 30 mins later??? Okay....i'll try back later...anyways not all is lost.. i know he had to of signed and gave proof of identification to cash the Money order...me+friends are going to be playing detective...i called western union today and the miami police...they said once i have a a police report up here and i get it sepinaed then i can get his name and go after him.....i'm getting my motor...or my money....wish me luck

thats why you cant find him...


and why in the hell would you waste your time paying for a western union moneyorder that is not insured, when you could have easily sent him a check from your bank account... you do know that any money that goes through your bank is insured.

hence you will get all your money back through filling out fraud paperwork at your bank...

stick with using your credit card, and if you have to write a paper note use your bank account or a certified check.

How did you pay him? paypal? money order? You don't have an address or any information about this guy?

He could have skooled you so easily, besides a gsr motor for 1600?
Come on you can't be smoking that **** already, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is

 

i believe you have enough information on him for the police to find him, get that police report like they said and skrew that motor, sue the hell out of him, get more than the 1600 you paid him, you may come out ahead

ahhh.. you sent it western union. I don't know man, my sister got scammed for a car because she sent money through western union. Lets just say she never got her money back.

i was screwed out of $430 before on ebay for a video card. i didnt have paypal at the time so i sent a usps money order.

the fucked up part was that the viet **** who ripped me had 1000 feedback and just went sour. my dad even warned me before dealing with him because hes viet but i didnt listen. he received 100+ negative feedback that week and this was during christmas week so my present to myself was stolen from me. cali cops never did **** because im not from there.

after that, i refuse to send MO. only paypal for me.

however with you, you sent $1600 to a ZERO feedback ebay seller. thats just idiotic.
