Default Skunk2 UCA Durability Question

Ok,

I desperately need to get some camber adjustment on my car. I currently have +3 on one side, and +1 on the other (Front) and somethin whack in the rear as well.

I have put off buying any regular aftermarket parts because they break, and that freaks me out. My friendly fabricator cannot make me some adjustable a-arms for a long time, and I need some camber adjustment before the Maine Forest Rally next weekend.

So, I am looking at the new design Skunk2 UCA, and some Ingalls rear arms. The Skunks have +/- 4 adjustment, so thats cool, but I am very afraid of either snapping them alltogether, or having the balljoint slide randomly during an event, and negating the benefits of actually having adjustment (becuase it is changing every stage anyway)

(New Design Skunk2's)

Also, I have seen some people sell the Skunk balljoints on HT, are they easy to get (I replace balljoints almost every 2 events)

BTW, this is on a Rally Car...

You guys think they can handle this (Repeatedly, for a couple hundred miles?)

Whos has had problems with slipping? Anyone broke them?

the new design is alot better, it sandwichs a plate. I think event he old ones are strong, they just need the powder coating scratched off

I don't have any personal experience with Skunk 2s, but why would your camber be so off? Aren't rally cars driven at stock or even raised ride height? From the looks of the Skunk 2 arms and the way you are driving your eg--I would stay away from them. The old ingalls style camber adjusters (use your stock ucas) have much bigger bolts and look like they would hold up better, they just do not have the same range of motion as the skunks.

I just realised maybe my previous question wasn't well thought out. You probably have wacky camber because of bent components, correct?

Yea, usually.

I pound the crap outta it with a hammer, but I still need some adjustment.

For those interested, they held up well. We hit lots of large boulders, full throttle, and had some small jumps with no problems.

Great news! Any word on availability / supplier of replacement ball joints? I have one that's all tore up and I'd like to replace it before it gets any worse.
