Default Question about koni revalve

Ive been reading quite a bit lately about the Koni/GC combo and Im pretty set on the combination. My question is at what point (rate) would it be wise to revalve the yellows? I havn't really found a clear-cut answer on here in my searches. The best Ive come up with is 450/550 as the limiting rate (anything above it is wise to revalve, anything below you are fine stock). Does this sound right? Would I be able to run 450/550 safely, without worry of reliability issues?

If I missed something searching, just give me a link. Thanks for any help.

It's my opinion that 550# was the limit for my Koni Sports. I drive a 4-door Integra so YMMV. I switched to double adjustable and shortened Konis and can't be happier.

To clarify, I had heard the 550 was the limit as you said. I had just thought running 450/550, and so was wondering if this would be safe. Thanks for the response, hopefully alot more are coming. Lunch bump from a bored federal employee

i'm running 450/550, so far so good.

the limit is not set in stone, in conversations with Lee, he's said it's somewhere around 600#/in, IIRC.

the shock will definitely handle the spring better with a revalve at those rates, so it might be worth it to revalve anyway, but as far as NEEDING to, i don't think it's a necessity.

So it would seem then that I would be better off buying used ones and getting them revalved than buying new and doing so, correct?

Yeah, that would be the smart way to go if you know you're going to get them revalved.

i would also think about getting them shortened a touch too?
