2000 vs 1997 model NSX
is it worth spending extra $$$ for the 2000 model over the 97 for these differences?
Seats, door insets, and steering wheel get perforated leather (not perforated suede like the Zanardi edition)
Improved anti-lock brake system (ABS) (computer software change)
Improved manual transmission shifting
Added onboard fueling vapor recovery system

No. The differences are extremely minor, virtually insignificant.

Everything else being equal: No - it is not worth spending the extra money for those changes as nsxtasy mentioned.
However, if you are looking for a blue NSX, the 2000-2001 Monaco Blue Pearl looks absolutely stunning compared to the 1997-1999 Monte Carlo Blue Pearl it replaced.
Both are excellent colors, but my preference is the Monaco.

Color, of course, is a matter of personal preference. That being said, I've seen fourteen of the fifteen colors in which the NSX has been available in the United States. (I haven't seen the Rio Yellow that came out last year and I'm not even sure how it differs from the previous Spa Yellow.) Of those fourteen, Monte Carlo Blue, which is a somewhat dark pearlescent blue, is my second favorite, topped only by Long Beach Blue, which is a somewhat less dark (but not shockingly bright) pearlescent blue. Monaco Blue, which is a bright, almost flourescent, bluish purple, is my least favorite, and I consider it to be absolutely hideous. But again, your taste may be different from mine.

Actually, despite his username
, dullone is absolutely correct; those are indeed actual changes that were made during those years. However, the changes are subtle and not of major importance, and thus not worth paying extra for.

I saw your quote (above) while surfin around and thought I should let you see a gorgeous Monaco Blue Pearl NSX.
This one (mine) is 100% stock with little over 12K miles. If you think this is hideous, I suggest a trip to the eye doctor. I love all NSXs-none are hideous.
