What are some symptoms of a clutch cable going bad? I dont have an ef but i do have a 91 teg w/ cable tranny and tonight my clutch pedal just hit the floor when i was normally shifting into third(4 day old exedy). I really dont want to think its the clutch rather than just a bad cable cause the clutch has been great until today Anyone else had simliar problems with thier cable trannys?? TIA

 

i work at an auto shop and one day someboy had their old sentra towed in...they said they were driving and then they pushed the pedal in and it hit the floor, no resistance. we replaced the clutch cable with a brand new one, and the car was fine. the old cable was frayed and almost broken.

dunno if that helps at all?

 

hopefully it is just the cable, well find out tomorrow
