So i just replaced my tranny with a b16 ys1 and an exedy organic clutch. Its been 4 days and everything was fine till i was driving and went to shift into third normally and the pedal hit the floor, wtf??? I have narrowed it down to the cable or the pressure plate failing, anyone know what this could be? TIA

 

Has anyone else had problems with thier clutch cable in thier da's like this??

 

have you checked the clutch cable? maybe it was installed incorrectly..double check and make sure its on right with the correct tension

 

^^^^^ is right. Usually such an issue is the tension is not set right on the clutch cable. Check it and you should be golden. If not, drop the tranny out, check the throwout bearing; might be sticking or not on correctly.

 

if the clutch cable was not installed properly would it have a tendency to just quit working like that? i really dont want to have to drop the tranny again so hopefully i can get it straightened out.

 

well i went out this morning to find that it was just the cable that broke, im glad it was only that
