Default Skunk2 Stage 2 cams in, Now What?

I am a B Series guy so please humor me . . .

So we got the Stage 2 cams in my friends car (97 lude)and it seems good but the power isn't all the way there.

Mods : VAFC2, AEM, UR Crank pully, UR lightened AC/PS pullies, DC 4-2-1, RSR exhaust, Skunk2 Stage 2 cams, S2 Gears, S2 Springs, S2 Retainers.

With those the power feels good but not smoooooth. A Hytech Header is being built as we speak and should help a lot and when it is installed it will be installed with a PLIX Wideband. I was thinking about how the 2nd set of butterflies are effecting power. . . . Would it help or hurt the powerband by taking them out? and is there any light tuning we can do with the gears? Any ideas? All options will be taking

Thanks

keep them in.

Your not gonna see much difference with Vafc the only thing to tune the motor on.

Especially with a nice header comin in....i suggest you rethink your ways to tune the motor if you want it to be perfect.

Hondata w/ data logging is in the plans and a Clutchmaster lightened flywheel and stage 3 clutch is ready to be installed then its tuning time. Also type S pistons and possibly Ferrea SS high comp. valves and a 65 shot has been thought of.

But I need to know if there are any tricks I should know.

How about uberdata ? ? ?

Wideband tells all. (Almost) - timing for the confused.

Sounds like a nice build

I'd take hondata over uberdata just for the fact that once it's tuned, it will probably be a little less hassle to maintain.
Anyway, make sure to show us the dynos when you're done

not to mention uberdata is free, Neptune is cheaper than hondata and offeres everything hondata has to offer...same with crome pro.

skunk 2 have awsome products for H series motors.....I've been running complete skunk 2 vavetrain w/ skunk stage 1 cams and type -s pistons... I haven't tuned the skunk cam gears yet but just by messing with a wide band 02 you can make the vtec cross over soo smooth, you won't even be able to tell when vtec kicks in...I'm really happy with my set-up and its been running strong for 10k since i did the compete rebuild....

So what fuel are you running throughout the power bands I think the last setting was Vtec at 5500 or 5600 and fuel up 2% at around 5300. It seemed to pull pretty good then but what do you think with you own expierences? What settings do you think work the best?
