I followed a diagram on here on how to directly wire my o2 sensor to my ecu. I chose to wire directly to my ecu because my VX harness is kinda sloppy so it makes it easy on me to wire to the ecu. I'm using a VX harness on my EX motor. Problem is, the wires that I'm suppose to plug into are not the same color as the diagram says. I plugged the o2 up to the wires anyways because they were in the correct slots but i still get the check engine code for my o2. I tried 2 different o2 sensors and no luck at all. Any ideas?

 

someones got to have wired an ex o2 using vx wire harness....

if you used the knowledge base write up, it should work. That is the exact write up I used substituting the OBD1 wire colors for my OBD2 colors from the helms...works great

 

I'm not sure which O2 sensor you're using whether it's Denso or Bosch.

But, here's the pinouts:

White > White > to D14 (O2 Input)
Green > Green/White > D22 (Sensor Ground)
Black > Org/Blk > A6 (Heater Control)
Black > Yel/Blk > A25 (Sensor Positive)

That's what I used as a reference but didnt work. I'm using the OEM EX o2 sensor that came on the EX motor...The D14 wire on the ecu isnt WHITE...should it still work? I plugged one of the blk to A25, the other black i plugged to A6 which was not ORANGE/BLACK at the ecu...hrrmm...does green just hook to any ground?

-wht/red wire - white wire on where the stock 5 wire was located
-grn/blk wire from donor plug to A6 heater ground ECU pinout.
-sensor gorund to one of the thermostat hosuing wires
-12v switched to the #4 injector yel/blk wire
