my car wont start......i dont know if its my battery, cuz all my lights and meters go on perfectly, and if i try to jump start it, it wont start.......dont know whats goin on!!!Everyday, it has a hard time starting!!Like i gotta hold the key 10 seconds then the thing would start!!! and when i run it, then turn it off, it starts up normally!! Any idea what the problem could be??if i kick start it, it goes fine...

i was thinkin of buyin an optima battery...dont know weather to buy the red or yellow one...

 

when you turn the key all you hear is that click..click..click thats your silineod trying to turn your starter, hit starter with hammer while friend trys to start your car. starters bad

now while the car is on and running if you turn head lights on and **** starts to dim and engine starts to die its your alt.

but i would go with the first guess cause you said that it doesn't start when you jump it, if it was your batt you would have no problem jumping it

 

well...all i hear is like a humming sound, comin from unda the hood...

so its the starter??

The humming sound im sure is from your back seat(fuel pump priming)
That's weird that it will not start when you try to jump it but will start ten sec later. When you jump it does the car at least turn over? I'm thinking the problem is your alternator

 

no it wouldnt start at all if i jump start it.....

the only way its gonna start if i push start it....

then when i start it up...run it for a while...turn it off...it starts up fine...then i leave it off for bout 5 hours then turn it on...it starts up fine...but if i leave it off overnight, try to start in morning, it wont start....\

Well something is slowly draining your battery like your cigarette lighter is stuck on or something of that nature, or your alternator is bad. I don't know how the civics are with alternators but I had to buy 2 new ones before I even got a good one and I had the same problem as you.

edit: O yeah search is your friend I did it for kicks, to see if the problem is your alternator start the car and use a volt meter on the batter and you should get about 14v(12v batter + alternator = 14ish). If not there are many other reasons just do a lot of searching and you will find your answer.
