Help me with what sturts to get
Hey everybody, I have a 97 civic ex coupe and I already have H&R sports at the house with my new rims 16's. The two sturts I'm looking at are the Tokico Illumina's and the Koni Yellow's. The only thing keeping me from getting the koni's is that I read that you have to mod. them to fit
. I was wondering is that ture for the koni sturt for the civic or is like plug and play. Which one should I get, daily driver no auto cross.
Thanks
Alex

Where'd you hear this from? I used to have them on my '97 EJ8. Went in fine w/o a problem. I liked them so much that I bought the H&R Cup Kit for my DC2, which uses Koni Yellows. Never tried Illuminas but I can attest to how well Koni Yellows kick ***.
The range of damping adjustability is phenomenal; full soft feels OEM-like but full stiff is too uncomfortable for me to daily drive like that. While some brands may offer a range of adjustment that doesn't make too much of a difference, Koni's range does. Can't say enough good things about them.

It's a matched spring and shock combo from H&R. They use, obviously, H&R springs and had Koni valve a set of Yellows specifically for these springs ... each kit is application-specific. Check out my webpage for a more comprehensive review, and visit http://www.hrsprings.com to learn more about the Cup Kit or see what other products H&R offers.
