DIY timing belt change 2000 Accord 2.3L 5 spd?
I currently have over 82K on my accord and will be at 100K by the end of the year. I understand the motors in these cars are interference type so this service is not to be delayed. I figure I'll change the water pump (and clutch at the same time if pulling the motor will simplify the job). Some questions:
Is this job not too tricky for a do it yourselfer (anyone here do it themselves)?
Will I require any special tools?
Is the easiest way to do this be just to pull the engine/transaxle, or are there some gotchas with this approach?
Is there a factory service manual I can obtain to guide me through this? I have several for GM vehicles and they are invaluable when doing more than just basic stuff.
I am no stranger to engine work with respect to keeping things clean, organized, undertanding importance of proper fastener torques, following proper procedures, etc. I know this job isn't simply popping the hood and swapping an accessory belt. I have all the basic hand tools, plus an engine hoist and stands, torque wrench, big red wrench, & trans jack.

Allow me to reccomend the Crank pulley bolt removal tool as a "requirement" You can get teh bolt off other ways but the $35 you'll spend on the tool will save you more aggravation than you can imagine.
