Limits of Synchromesh
It's official. My synchros are ****. 3rd is horrible. If the rpms aren't just right, it sounds like a badger is stuck in my trans. 4th is on its way out also.
I know Synchromesh has worked for many, and I know it is only a temporary fix. I'm wondering whether or not it would help a situation like mine. I mean, does it sound like my synchros are too far gone? Would Synchromesh buy me anymore time or just be a waste of money?
I'm interested to know is the stuff has "cured" any cases as bad as mine.
Any opinions of those who've used the product would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Auto-RX available here for use in transmissions http://auto-rx.net/pages/manual_trans.html
I use this in 4 cars (engines, power steering and transmissions) great product.
You can read about it from others who used it at http://theoildrop.server101.com/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi
Also I would say drain and refill your tranny (use HONDA FLUID ONLY) and add some
Lubegard High Friction Modified ATF Supplement available at a parts store

IntegraAlteeza: I've always used 1/2 Honda MTF, 1/2 Redline 75w90 Friction Modified because I have a Kaaz (clutch-type) LSD. I've used this combo for about 50k with no problems (synchros or LSD). I'm also a bit worried about using something too slippery and rendering the LSD useless.
I'll read up on Auto-RX though. thx.
eg6sir-s: I fear you may be correct. Obviously a rebuild is the way to go. Money is just so tight right now.
I hate cars.
