Yup, reduces clearance. But will fit. Do a search on the manifold to find out the other problems associated. I.E. fuel rail, gasket, etc.

What you need to put it on a 1st gen is a new fuel rail, to clear the iat sensor. Also shave the bottom of the mani a little above the alternator, because it will hit in that spot when you try to mount it.

Mine did, I made a topic back in Jan. when I was putting my motor together, several peeps with 1st gens had the hitting problem, and only on 1st gens. It may have just been the mold of that particular batch. Can't really explain why, but about 1/8" had to be shaved off for it to sit fluch to the head due to it hitting the alternator bracket. Or I could have just shaved the alternator bracket down as well.
Yup, a new fuel rail for 1st gen guys
I'm going to try to shave the silly fins off of the top of the manifold.. Silky smooth.

so there seems to be some conflicting reports here....
is the AEBS going to increase or reduce firewall clearance, when compared to a B16A1 intake manifold? anyone have pics of them side by side?
the B18C5 & skunk2 IM are shorter in overall length than the B16A1 IM, right? but the AEBS .... ?
as for the fins.. it would seem that the AEBS designer perhaps took his cues from vintage rat-rod/muscle parts (i.e. offenhauser) :-)

Your probably correct. It just doesn't fit the styling of Honda.
I'll take a pic of the fire wall clearance when I get home tonight for you (with a measurement)

Its designed by aebs and some meat-head company that makes manifolds and valve covers for mustangs and other tanks of that genre
