1994 Accord Drive Axle Change
I'll be changing both of my drive axles tomorrow and I want to know if I'll need to drain the tranny fuid to change the axles? I've heard that it's not needed but the helms manual states that it needs to be drained. So should I drain the tanny fluid or not?
Auto or Manual?
I'm getting ready to replace the passenger side on my 94, in a few days/weeks.
Just curious, I noticed there a differnt listing for Auto vs Manual tranny I wondered if there was a length or change in # of splines.

I have an auto and I've posted on several other boards and I think it's best to drain the fluid if replacing the passenger axle. I've decided to drain it anyway and I'm going to fill it with Honda ATF.
You don't really need to change it out, but it is a very good idea to and will only take a few minutes anyway. Like the other person said, when you take the axles out it will leak out so you will need to fill it up with more, but if you are that far into the project minus well just drain and put in new fluid. Just did this on my bros accord last weekend and he loves the smoother feel to it.
