Thermo insulated im gaskets......
I have read a bit about people fab'in their own thermo gaskets. Has anyone has real success with this?? I don't mean just for a n/a d-series, I am talkin about for higher hp apps like turbo'd b-series engines. Hondata's price is a lil steep ($65+ for just the gasket) and An-r is not making them right now because their machine is down and some of the other ones (i.e. pro fab designs, you can get them on ebay) I have never heard of so I will not just give my money away on an unproved piece of hw. Anyone know or maybe know if pro fab makes good gaskets? thanks.
I would gladly purchase one from someone who makes them and has had good reviews by reputable people on H-T.

Why bother fabbing it up when Outlaw engineering makes a complete kit with everything needed (bolts, nuts, gaskets, etc.) to install it for $99? And that kit includes spacers for the TB, manifold and IACV. Spacers are made out of a 1/4" thick plastic material so should work better than the Hondata gasket. I have one and it's a nice high quality kit.
Yeah I thought it might be fun and I'd be able to learn something and save a little money at the same time. I called Outlaw and they quoted me ~$65 for just the im gasket with the two outter ones. The same price of the Hondata, but they supply the two outter, I will probably just get the Outlaw Eng one.
Anyone heard of the pro fab gaskets?? Good/Crap?
