After I have made a complete stop (hard braking) and then when i let go of the brakes to accelerate, my front driver side wheel made a horrible grinding scraping sound as I sped away. The sound would go away after I pump the brakes a couple times. It is as though after engaging the brakes, they wouldn't disengage after the brake pedal was released. The sound is like a horrible low scraping sound like the noise the car would make if you accidentally drive away with the hand brake on.
Ever since that incident, sometimes the low grinding sound would come back even when doing light braking, like once every 20 times.

previous owner changed the front brake pads by himself with raybestos (found oem nissin brakes in the trunk still in good condition
)
any ideas about this problem? could it be that my front driver side caliper is frozen? also what should i check for and how do i go about fixing it myself~ kinda broke
(and i took off my tires a month ago and noticed that the front brakes still looks good and has much life left, just incase anyone wonders whether my brakes are worn)
Thanks

Did you check both sides of each rotor for warping? You can feel around the back side, and if it's not smooth, then your rotors need to replaced.
There may be a chance a pad is getting loose and leaning up and rubbing the rotor. That is more of a high pitched scrape noise though. Had that problem on my DA.

I'll check this weekend when I rotate my tires. As for the warpage, that should be indicated by a shaky steering wheel right? mine's not shaking "yet". Anything else I should check for?
