Default motor swap

My friend is about to drop a 94 h22a1 with a manual transmission into a 97 accord lx with a automatic transmission, He only could find a 93 accord manual transmission would it fit or would he need a transmission from the same year as his car? He also wanted to know if there was any aftermarket motor mounts that comes in a set.

wtf you say? you made no sense.
reapeat thuroughly,
you dont need mounts, but you can't just drop in a 5sp tranny in an auto. unless your doing a 5 speed conversion, repeat the question.

I said my friend is dropping an h22 with a 93 accord manual tranny into a 97 accord lx that is automatic. Will the 93 accord tranny fit the chassis of his car.

Yes it does.

Only drawback is that accord transmission ratio sucks and unless you rev the **** ou of it it will fall out of its power band every shift (before vtec engaging point). That and you will reach the speed cutoff (jdm ecu) in 3rd gear...

I sugess you go with a prelude transmission (witch also fit on your chassis)

"Nice long gears" don't suit an H22 very well and is FAR from what I would call a "perfect ratio". The only good thing about using ANY Accord tranny will be the increased gas mileage. The shorter gears in a Prelude tranny will provide much quicker acceleration than with an Accord tranny.
