o-ring crush before retorquing
i just thought of this and now its really making me wonder. I got my aebs headstuds in and instead of torquing them now, then re torquing them 500 miles later, pulling the cams, resetting the valve lash etc.. I'm going to torque them down, loosen and retorque.
Question is that when i torque them down for the first time it will crush my orings, and by taking the torque off of them then re doing it, it will take that inital crush fit away, does this mean i have to re o-ring it each time?
setup is a closed deck h22a copper o-ringed and a stepped deck
