Default WTF, conflicting part numbers and prices!

im buying a valve cover gasket set for a d16 valve cover. and im looking around at parts stores for it and the prices and part numbers are different between 92-95 and 96-00 civics??? why they are the same thing except for maybe different writing on top.

i looked up a set for a 93 si and it is $42 then i look it up for a 96 ex and its $27 and they both have different part numbers?? anyone know why this would be before i go raise hell at the parts store and demand it for $27

eh i bought the y8 valve cover gasket set for only $12. saved $30 instead of buying the z6 one. im using a z6 valve cover on a y8 head.

there are 4 different valve covers for 92-00 d series i believe.

there is the 1.5 liter one, then there is the one that came on only 92 civic si's i believe. the one that says VTEC on it. then there is the one that came on 93-95 si's with just the small honda emblem and it says honda underneath it. then there is the 96-00 ones that just say honda real big across it.

the 92-95 si/ex valve covers are the exact same as the 96-00 valves except for the lettering on top.
