Default Hondata S200 and S300

http://www.hondata.com/s300release.html

The new S300 is coming out and I'm thinking of getting it, and am curious if anyone knows more about this system. But...I'm curious of what dealer to get it through and where other people had gotten their hondata and the speed and time it took them to do it etc. I have 2 P28's one that I'll be shipping to them and one that I'll use to run my SOHC VTEC motor til I do the CR/VTEC Swap..pretty much just waiting on Hondata.

If you don't have something already, but don't want to wait to see what NepTune has to offer, then the S300 isn't a bad choice (if you can afford it). However, a used S200 with datalogging might be more cost-effective. You just won't get a lot of the new features.

Wait for the sponsors to start promotional sales on the S300. I'm sure somebody will offer free socketing with S300 purchase. When you send it off to Hondata for socketing, then it'll take roughly a business week to a week and a half in total to get it back.

Well August 1st is coming up and I'm just going to go with the S300 for the sake of not having to deal with Eproms and all that other BS, plus it comes with all the options I want and it doesn't use the "Blue box" from the S200 and it'll be alittle bit more sleeper.

I know nothing about neptune and it isn't as proven as Hondata that I know of anyway.

Wow, the s300 sounds really nice, especially since it doesn't need an eprom and anyone with a laptop can use it, I might switch to it in the future. I'm running neptune now and its works great, but i'd like to be able to tune myself one day.

if you dont have anything yet, maybe s300 is more cost effective, but for those who already have s200 with data logging, romulator and pocket programmer, its basically the same. plus, you can tune your friend's hondata s200.

The user-tunable version of Neptune is coming, and there will be no fooling with eproms, either.
Unlike Hondata and the S300, existing customers are going to have a upgrade path with Neptune.

No it is not the same s300 got a lot of important extra's like?:

gear type correction and
iat correction.

both are NOT in s200 but pretty important im my opion ooh and don't forget

REAL TIME UPLOADING or however you call it. With s200 you have to shut down your engine to upload your changes. Most irritating when you are on the dyno.

Rev means that his s200 doesn't support realtime uploading/tuning.

His romulator on a CHROME based ECU works fine and will allow realtime uploading.

the s300 on the other hand. sould support it
