ive been looking at this https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1129376 everyday for a week or so.

i was wondering if 2.5 is too much for a semi-custom exhaust on a lightly modded LS? all thats really going to be done to the car in the future is jdm b16 pistons, stage 2 (maybe 1) cams, just a few light mods, nothing super fancy.

im wanting a cat, resonator, and oval muffler. just dont know if 2.25 is too small, or what. i just dont want to do the car more harm than good. and i really dont want a loud exhaust (like the one on now, with N1 style muffler)

for lightly modded 2.25-2.36 is good....there's really no need for 2.5 unless your pushing good horses.

Yes, 2.25" is fine for what you plan on doing.

how big is a stock gsr exhaust? or are they all the same diameter?

 

It's around 2".

i got my friends old OEM exhaust from his gsr. i know i have to make it a tad longer to fit my car. but thats easy enough. i dont know if i want to use it as a mock up to get all pre-bent pipes from kteller and have a one-off exhaust ... or slightly mod the gsr exhaust
