Default Timing belt?

Is the timing belt and water pump a hard replacement in the 93 Accord EX's??? My mechanic is quoting me like 425 and the parts are under 100. I feel that i am getting a shaft job.

That's a fair price... usually it's 6-700 for the timing belt and water pump replacement.

Does this price include cam and crank oil seals, tensioners and idler pulleys, a radiator flush with new antifreeze, the old stuff gets acidic you know. Does this model require the valve cover to be removed and new gaskets there too??? If all of the first sentence is included then it is a great price but what is the quality of the kit, no name chinese or a Gates package. You get what you pay for and on an interferrence engine you do not want to go cheap, better parts cant be much more but all the parts can add up to a good job the first time around.

if the parts are under 100 he is using shitty parts ,,,if you get honda parts it will be a bit mote, t-belt 35-45 bal belt 35-45, water pump 55-65. coolant 7-10, bal shaft seal, a must while you there 5 -7 retainer 4-6 .....and i strongly suggest you use honda parts at least the t-belts

Honda just quoted me like 500 roughly out the door for the timing and water pump...and all the drive belts...they did not mention new coolant but that should be routing with a new water pump...this deal sounds much betta since it will be genuine Honda parts
